感謝香港藝術學院邀請1a空間頒發「1a空間獎」，以表揚在藝術上有卓越表現之應屆畢業生，鼓勵他們繼續在藝術上持續發展。 今年1a空間再次接受邀請，為五位在畢業展中有傑出表現的應屆畢業生（嚴雪咏、吳玳誼、張影薇、蘇鈺翔及黃燕瑩）頒發1a空間獎，並且透過舉辦不同活動以支持他們未來的藝術發展。 1a空間除了安排畢業生與其他資深藝術家、藝文工作者進行交流的機會，亦邀請畢業生於 9.10 - 23.11.2023 進駐1a藝廊，以工作室形式進行創作。 工作室將於24 - 26.11.2023 開放參觀，誠邀各位蒞臨1a空間認識五位新晉藝術家，並與他們進行對話和交流！ 參與藝術家： 嚴雪咏 嚴雪咏，生於2000年。2022年畢業於由香港藝術學院與澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學合辦之藝術文學士課程，主修陶瓷。嚴氏的創作圍繞對現實中一些缺口和破損部分的聯想。根據不同的場景，如牆壁的排水渠口、剝落的水泥建築、不完整的花圃圍欄等，以陶瓷倒模和注漿技術創作出形狀怪異、色彩繽紛、有如玩具般的幻想物。透過這些玩味造型的作品，述說日常中的荒誕。 吳玳誼 吳玳誼以雕塑裝置和行爲藝術探討生命的閾限空間，以物料研究演繹存在于實體空間中，精神中，比喻中的狀態。從深透邊緣化群體裏失去的身份和歷史，收集的私密内容部分轉換成詩詞，並以回應哲學家尼采一書中的『精神三變』，試圖探討跨越深淵的方法。其怪異的軟雕塑裝置和行爲是一個正視社會議題的包括對個人政治，暴力，轉變，欲望的實踐。吳玳誼畢業於皇家墨爾本理工大學，香港藝術學院和中央聖馬丁藝術學院，目前在香港工作。 張影薇 張影薇是一位香港藝術家，主要以攝影作為創作媒介。她的藝術實踐源於她對日常生活的保留、保存和歷史視角的探究，反映了時間的侵蝕。2022年，她獲得澳洲皇家墨爾本理工學院 (RMIT) 與香港藝術學院合辦的藝術文學士學位，並獲得Dean’s List獎和1a空間獎。2020年她在香港藝術學院修畢藝術高級文憑 並獲得傑出藝術作品獎，學術表現獎，和香港教育局頒發的傑出表現獎學金。她的照片曾在包氏畫廊 (2022, 2023)、Yrellag畫廊 (2022)、典亞藝博 (2021) 和香港藝術學校藝廊 (2020) 展出。 蘇鈺翔 蘇鈺翔，於2023年畢業於香港藝術學院藝術文學士，課程內主修雕塑科。 他的作品創作以立體作品為主，在公共空間尋找回收物料的經驗使他著重思考物料和空間的關係。 透過解構物料/物件的符號，為其添加新的形象。 黃燕瑩 Toby Wong 出生於香港，從事數碼修飾和圖像製作超過二十年。 隨着她對視覺藝術和繪畫的熱愛，她開始進一步探索美術，在當代藝術方面進一步學習和探索，並於2022 年畢業於皇家墨爾本理工大學（由香港藝術學院合辦），獲得美術學士學位，主修繪畫。 她的藝術反映了她對人類情感和社會情境的興趣。她致力於探索多種藝術形式，以驚喜元素傳達異想天開的感覺。 她獨特的個人風格，在細膩的觸感中，散發出神秘和詩意，以女性的視角表達當代的精神和氛圍。

Over the past twenty years, 1a space has presented and organized more than 160 exhibitions and activities. 1a space has played a vital role in developing new frontiers for the visual arts scene in Hong Kong and its representation abroad. 1a space is now inviting applicants for the position of Administration Officer (Full-time), which aims to perform competently in the changing arts and cultural environment, and will be introduced to various aspects of arts administration and covering key knowledge and specialized areas required of arts administrators. 在海的某處，有無數失落的飄浮板塊。偶爾，他們會彼此靠近，相遇之處透過不同形式的碰撞，或接合、或推擠、或分離，生成不同的特殊地貌。這個相遇的過程是不可控但具可塑性。 由香港浸會大學栽種和平項目發起，項目包括邀請一班大學生、中學生以及香港藝術家以數個月的時間共處及一起進行創作，透過社區遊、小組分享、創作練習等互相認識及探索人際及社區和平的可能性。展覽嘗試透過一系列作品尋找人與人之間可變的距離與邊界，在行進的過程中以不同的方式追溯關係中的平衡點，同時連結於社區更廣結的脈絡中。 浮動可變的板塊之上挑戰我們與他者的信心，在平穩之前，願這過程帶你看見更廣闊的陸地。 Somewhere on the sea, there are countless sole floating platforms. Occasionally, they approach each other, at where they meet may generate different shapes of land through different forms of collision. They merge, push, or separate. The process of encounter is uncontrollable yet malleable. Initiated by the Cultivating Peace Project of Hong Kong Baptist University, it involves a group of university students, secondary school students and Hong Kong artists to meet and work together for several months. Through community tours, group sharings, creative exercises, etc., they get to know each other and explore the possibility of interpersonal and community peace. Through a series of works, the exhibition attempts to explore the changing distance and boundary between people, trace the balance point of relationship in the process, and at the same time connect to a broader context of the local community. Floating platforms challenge the trust between us and others. It is a unique opportunity for current students in Arts, culture and humanities disciplines in obtaining contemporary art exhibition experience in a gallery setting. The intern will work closely with the management team of 1a space to gain insights into art/cultural project development, event logistics, exhibition setup and dismantling, as well as other art administrative tasks. Internship Schedule: Application period: now until 26th January 2023 Duration: February 2023 to June 2023 Working hours: Part time - Working dates are negotiable Responsibilities: Participate and gain practical training in art management through active involvement in the preparation, coordination and logistic of the “Jockey Club Contemporary Art Literacy and Appreciation Programme”, “ Collage City”, other exhibitions and special programmes Work closely with the team members to assist in docent training workshops, public guided tours, art workshops, art talks and other special events Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaign for the related cultural programmes Manage website and social media platforms Assist exhibition installation and dismantlement Offer assistance to daily operation of the gallery and during gallery events Requirements: Student currently studying art, design, humanities, architecture, moving images, art education, museum studies or other related subjects with strong interest in working professionally in the contemporary art field A good team player with good communication skills Outgoing, gracious and obliging with good command of spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) Skills in photography, videography and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Over the past twenty years, 1a space has presented and organized more than 160 exhibitions and activities. 1a space has played a vital role in developing new frontiers for the visual arts scene in Hong Kong and its representation abroad. 1a space is now inviting applicants for the position of Gallery Manager (Full-time) . We are looking for professionals who is able to perform competently in the changing arts and cultural environment. The position will be introduced to various aspects of arts administration and learning key knowledge and specialized areas required of arts administrators. Responsibilities: Manage the daily operation of the gallery and the office Assist with Board of Director and curatorial panel with the execution of the organization Assist artists and curators for the preparation and production of art and cultural related exhibitions and projects Work with the Board of Directors and Curatorial Panel members to research on funding opportunities and assisting in related applications Coordination of installation and de-installation of exhibitions Oversees the gallery promotion of exhibitions and other events, liaison with other arts organizations when necessary Requirements: A well-organized, mature and independent person with not less than six years of full time administrative working experience.
