The position aims to allow the candidate to perform competently in the arts and cultural industry and will be introduced to various aspects of management and production of arts events. Responsibilities: Create visual graphics and promotional materials that is align with 1a space artistic direction. Assist in installation and dismantlement of exhibitions and provide on-site assistance for exhibitions and events. In charge of photography and videography for exhibitions and programmes. Assist in the management of the gallery and related events. Work closely with the gallery administrative team on executing exhibition, workshops and public programmes. Design and lead guided tours on different themes appropriately. Provide a welcoming environment for visitors and event participants. Requirements: Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above Diploma or equivalent qualification holder. Graduate from tertiary institutions related to graphic design, exhibition design, creative media, arts production, publishing and editorial affairs or related field. Preferably obtained within the last 3 years. Strong interest in working professionally in the arts industry Excellent design sense, good knowledge in creative output and printing Experience with proven shooting, production and editing skills will be an advantage Creative mindset and able to work independently on constructing design concept, final artwork to production Good knowledge in digital equipment set up and photographic techniques. [English version only] 1a space, an independent, non-profit making contemporary visual arts organization in the historical site of Cattle Depot is now looking for passionate young professionals to be the Senior Project Executive of the Jockey Club Contemporary Art Literacy and Appreciation Programme . With the generous support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the programme aims to provide a holistic docent training programme, docent-led public tours, series of public talks and seminars, workshops and art experiences and an online learning platform to popularize the knowledges of contemporary art appreciation in Hong Kong. This is a full-time position with 1 year contract. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Junior Project Executive. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of the progamme to reach goals and deliverables. Supervise the program team to make sure the smooth implementation of the program Research, invite and liaise with tutors, experts, and partners to deliver an interesting and well-rounded programme. Guide and assist docents in planning and conducting public tours, facilitate conversations among participants. 現/場行為藝術節 2021 2021 年 8 月 13 日至 22 日 📍 1a 空間，牛棚藝術村 藝術家： 陳式森 張㯋曦 葉珮珮 Florence Lam 黎振寧 梁晞堯 馬穎汶 彭靖 杜躍 曾凱渝 謝曉陽 真善美村 黃榮鋒 小芳羊 嚴穎嘉 袁曉嵐 現/場行為藝術節2021 的主題是「光」。本質上，光是一種能量。 它是白色，也是虹彩的。它亦一直被視為生命和知識啟蒙的象徵。 在甲骨文裡，「光」這個字源於行動中的人體 —— 它描繪了一個跪著的人雙手舉起火炬。 類近地，行為藝術植根於藝術家自身的存在性和短暫性，其身體與時間和空間聯繫，再透過行為傳達意義。 現/場 由Juliana Chan 和 Florence Lam 共同策展，匯集新晉及經驗豐富的行為藝術家，探索與實驗行為藝術這個媒介，並從物理、形上學和象徵上詮釋「光」這主題。 🟨🟩🟦

《空間進駐》計劃反應熱烈，收到多位藝術家報名，感謝大家對計劃的興趣及支持！經過一輪評審程序，計劃最終選出六位藝術家參與是次的藝術家駐場計劃，並於五月初開始進駐1a畫廊。我們期待各位藝術家在駐場時的創作和交流。 參與藝術家： 鄭凱殷 Meko Cheng 鄭凱殷於2019獲得墨爾本皇家理⼯⼤學藝術⽂學⼠，主修雕塑。作品關於物料、重量與物理性的體現。透過平衡的結構展現⼀種沉穩與流動之間的狀態。從⼒量推移中表現物料間的張⼒，雖靜止卻流動於無形。 周睿宏 Dave Chow 周睿宏於2015年畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術院，對物件本身的意義和物料的物理性差異特感興趣，慣於挪用現成物和影像來梳理個人情感和生活狀態。他現於香港生活及工作，過往於芝加哥駐留期間完成其首個個展「太陽下山時要開電視」，曾參與的展覽包括「剛剛好」(富德樓, 香港, 2018)、「靜觀默察」(安全口畫廊, 香港, 2018)和「讓我來重蹈你覆轍」(common room & co., 香港, 2018)等。 朱凱婷 Michele Chu 朱凱婷是一位跨媒介藝術家，她的作品探究人與人之間的親暱關係與聯繫，尤其是運用人的感官與空間去突顯人與人之間的情感聯繫，並且通過多感官裝置和街頭實驗等媒介，去讓反思考我們何以為人。朱為聲音掏腰包「藝術家支援計劃」2020-21 年度獲選年青藝術家。 傅至雅 Jessica Fu 傅至雅於美國芝加哥藝術學院獲頒藝術創作碩士。傅透過特定空間裝置作品去思考關於無形物質所呈現的隱喻與真實之間的關係。作品由2010年起在各地展出。現於不同院校擔任兼任導師。 馮倚天 Thomas Fung 馮倚天於2019年畢業於香港中文大學藝術系，創作靈感來自日常生活，一些地點，歷史事件等。創作涉及寫生，通過寫生來理解藝術的本質，探討一些美學問題。通過繪畫語言探討繪畫的可能性。 Harrison Wong Harrison Wong是香港藝術家。他的藝術實踐包括新媒體，當代手機、數碼和菲林攝影，平面藝術和互動媒體。他的興趣影響了他錯綜複雜的意識。從互動設計過渡到視覺藝術後，他開始以當代方式嘗試混合媒體作品，這是他在這個繁忙而交錯的家鄉無法抗拒的方式。
