    [English version only] If you are passionate about art and looking for an internship experience with flexible working schedule during your studying, welcome to join the 1a space Internship Programme - Spring 2019 to explore one of the most prominent art organization in Hong Kong. It is a unique opportunity for current students in Arts, culture and humanities disciplines in obtaining contemporary art exhibition experience in a gallery setting. The intern will work closely with the management team of 1a space to gain insights into art/cultural project development, event logistics, exhibition setup and dismantling, as well as other art administrative tasks. Internship Schedule: Application period: now until 20 January 2019 Duration: February 2019 to June 2019 (5 months) Working hours: Part time - Working dates are negotiable You will be able to: - work closely with curators and artists to organize art events - participate in large-scale outreach and public event including festival and art fair - gain practical training in curatorial work through active involvement in our exhibition preparations and logistics, while working closely with the team members of 1a space to assist in exhibition installation and dismantling, opening events, exhibition reception, guided tours and other administrative work of the gallery Successful candidates for the Internship will be provided with travel allowance.     Call for Curator/Artist in Residence 2019 Residency Period: March to May 2019 (one month) Application Deadline: 30 September 2018 24:00 (Hong Kong Time) Notifications to all applicants will be made via email in November 2018. Location: 1a space (Unit 14, Cattle Depot Artists Village, 63 Ma Tau Kok Road, To Kwa Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong) https://www.oneaspace.org.hk/ 1a space is now accepting applications from local and international curator/artist for a one-month Curator/Artist-in-Residence Program. With the aim of encouraging curatorial research in tandem with exhibition planning, the program provides one deserving curatorial talent or curatorial team/ artist or artist group a platform and necessary resources to realize an innovative and experimental project to fill the gap between larger public institutions and commercial ventures. The aim of this curatorial residency program is to promote arts in Hong Kong with international collaborations and to enhance international curatorial research in Hong Kong. 1a space provides allowance for flight tickets (for non-Hong Kong curator(s)/artist(s) only), accommodation (for non-Hong Kong curator(s)/artist(s) only), exhibition space and production fee to the curator(s)/artist(s), who produces an exhibition in 1a space in late-March to May 2018 with at least 1 related public programming. S/he will originate and present the exhibtion and related public programs within the residence period. For curator scheme, an inclusive of local artist(s) is encouraged. In addition, the selected curator(s)/artist(s) will be awarded an honorarium of HKD$10000. Proposals are evaluated on merit of project, singularity and innovatively of concept. Over the past twenty years, 1a space has presented and organized more than 140 exhibitions and activities. 1a space has played a vital role in developing new frontiers for the visual arts scene in Hong Kong and its representation abroad. 1a space is now inviting applicants for the position of Administration Officer (Full-time) , which aims to perform competently in the changing arts and cultural environment, and will be introduced to various aspects of arts administration and covering key knowledge and specialized areas required of arts administrators.     [English version only] If you are passionate about art and looking for an internship experience with flexible working schedule during your studying, welcome to join the 1a space Internship Programme - 2018 Spring this year to explore one of the most prominent art organization in Hong Kong. It will be a unique opportunity for current students in Arts, culture and humanities disciplines in obtaining contemporary art exhibition experience in a gallery setting. The intern will work closely with the management team of 1a space to gain insights in art/literature project development, event logistics, exhibition setup and dismantling, as well as other art administrative tasks. Internship Schedule: Application period: now until 11th March 2017 Duration: 19th March 2017 to 30th June 2017 Working hours: Part time - Working dates are negotiable You will be able to: - work closely with curators and performers to organize an outdoor art event - gain practical training in curatorial work through active involvement in our exhibition preparations and logistics, while working closely with the team members of 1a space to assist in exhibition installation and dismantling, opening events, exhibition reception, guided tours and other administrative work of the gallery -Successful candidates for the Internship will be provided with travel allowance. It moved from its original location an old government warehouse at Oil Street, North Point, to the current location at Cattle Depot in 2002. 1a space aims to promote the making, experimentation, exchange and dissemination of contemporary art both in Hong Kong and in the international arena. Over nearly two decades, 1a space has developed into one of Hong Kong’s leading contemporary art organizations. It has produced more than 130 exhibitions and activities, and has been active in international exchanges, cultural festivals, participatory community art, as well as art education and publication.
